The Suzhou Training Center of the Aesculap Academy became the first in Jiangsu Province to receive the new license for wholly foreign-owned occupational skills training agency after the policy at the Suzhou area of the Jiangsu Pilot Free Trade Zone was announced on July 16.
In the past, foreign investor needs to form a joint venture with Chinese side first in order to offer vocational skills training. According to the new policy, the establishment of a wholly foreign-owned occupational skills training agency adopts the notification and commitment approach, and will receive the license first then the due process of reviewing, which will certainly facilitate foreign investment.
The Aesculap Academy, established in Germany in 1995, entered China in 2001 and then opened the Suzhou Training Center in 2016. Last year, the academy offered 176 offline trainings for more than 7,000 medical workers in China.
During the fight against the coronavirus outbreak, the academy organized more than 500 live streaming courses to reach more than 100,000 viewers.
