Suzhou, the economic heartland of Jiangsu Province, saw 320 China-Europe freight train trips in 2020, with a clear growth in the December.
In the last month of the year, 22 freight trains transported export cargo of 10,400 tons with a value of $154 million, up 14.29 percent and 55.22 percent year on year, respectively.
The freight service from Suzhou has taken full advantage of the city’s important roles in development strategies including the Belt and Road initiative, the Yangtze River Economic Belt, the Yangtze River Delta regional integration. Railway authorities increased efforts to cooperate with foreign-trade enterprises, meet their market development requirements, and streamline the process.
