Many museums in Jiangsu have announced their schedules for the Spring Festival holiday (February 10-17), providing diverse exhibitions and educational activities both online and on-site to celebrate the Lunar New Year.
The Nanjing Museum and the China Grand Canal Museum in Yangzhou will open from February 11 to 17.
Municipal museums in Changzhou, Zhenjiang, Xuzhou, Huai’an, Yangzhou and Yancheng will remain open throughout the 8-day holiday. Some major museums in Nanjing, such as the Memorial Hall of the Delegation of Communist Party of China in Meiyuan Xincun, the Oriental Metropolitan Museum and the Nanjing City Wall Museum, will be open as usual on New Year's Eve, February 9, and during the holiday.
Some museums will prolong opening hours or provide evening sessions during the holiday. The Lianyungang Museum will adjust its opening hours to 9:00-19:00 from February 10 to 16. The Nanjing Folk Museum and the Historical Museum of Taiping Heavenly Kingdom will remain open until 21:00, while the Imperial Examination Museum in Nanjing is accessible year-round, with opening hours extended to 9:00-22:00 during the Spring Festival.
