Jetstar resumed passenger service between Wuxi City in Jiangsu Province and Singapore on December 28, with flight 3K833 arriving at Sunan Shuofang International Airport at 12:30.
Passengers on the inaugural flight plan to conduct business visits and exchanges for three days, gaining an understanding of the city’s culture and industrial growth amid efforts to boost cooperation.
Jetstar plans to operate two weekly return flights before increasing to four weekly services from January 15.
Jiang Haoxin, head of the market development department at the airport, said this is the longest route operating from the airport and will certainly foster closer exchanges between the two sides.
In addition, the Wuxi and Singapore Aviation Industry Exchange and Promotion Meeting was also held on the same day. The event witnessed the signing of cooperation projects for tourism and personnel training. Jetstar also launched its Yangtze River Delta Office in the city.
Currently, Wuxi has resumed seven international passenger routes. The airport will celebrate its 20th anniversary next year.
