A tourist destination in Wujiang District, Suzhou City became popular during the May Day holiday for holding various programs.

The Jiangnan Huabanwan scenic spot waived its entry fee for visitors wearing traditional Han clothes, attracting local residents such as Zhou Bingqian and Li Simin to participate in the show. The beautiful landscaping featuring roses provided a stunning backdrop to take photos.

During this year's five-day holiday, many people chose to visit places closer to the city or nearby destinations in the countryside. The scenic spot’s programs included outdoor concerts, parade floats, dance performances and fashion shows.

According to general manager Ding Jieyuan, the venue attracted more than 3,000 visits on average per day during the first four days of the holiday.

Chen Fang’s family enjoyed camping at the spot while grilling beef, lamb and local delicacies like little yellow fish. Chen said it took only about 30 minutes to drive from her home in Suzhou’s Songling area to the venue, making it an easy and relaxing experience.
