The first Grand Canal Cup Dragon Boat Race Carnival opened at the Yangzhou Deep Dive Grand Canal Center on June 14 with the participation of 10 teams.

The team from the Guangling College of Yangzhou University won the championship. The event also included a lion dance performance, folk dance shows and other remarkable cultural activities to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival.
The center, located in the Yangzhou Bio-diverse and Sci-Tech City, is currently the largest and most multifunctional rowing base in Asia, home to watersports training facilities of world-class standards.
