The seat of Yangzhou People’s Government opened an internal canteen and parking spaces to welcome inbound tourists during the May Day holiday.
A queue of nearly 20 people waited outside the entrance at 11:30 on May 5 before the canteen’s opening. The complex also made its 158 parking spaces free of charge to tourists to the city.
Local government held a press conference in late April to introduce a series of measures to boost tourism. For example, nearly 50 governmental departments and schools close to the scenic areas offered 1,500 free parking spaces during the holiday. Local police also improved the service to ensure a great journey to the city.
