The 16th session of the Standing Committee of the 14th Jiangsu Provincial People’s Congress, the provincial legislature, has approved local regulations to promote low-altitude economy submitted by the cities of Wuxi and Suzhou.

The regulations, set to come into effect on October 1 this year, include chapters on infrastructure, flight services, industrial development, safety assurances, etc.

Suzhou currently has 333 flight routes and 143 take-off and landing sites, with the number of sites set to increase to 200 this year. Its low-altitude economy cluster now includes over 500 enterprises across the entire industry chain, with the sector’s output exceeding 40 billion yuan.

Wuxi will leverage its own industrial strengths to support the integration of sectors such as integrated circuits, the Internet of Things, Big Data, new materials, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing into the low-altitude economy.
