Technology companies from Jiangsu showcased their innovations in various sectors, such as mobility and home appliances, at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2025) held in Las Vegas from January 8 to 11.
With the theme “DIVE IN”, the event attracted over 4,500 exhibitors, including a record high of nearly 1,500 Chinese companies, and 141,000 attendees. CES 2025 introduced a range of cutting-edge products and technologies that are reshaping our lives today and in the future.
Notably, Nanjing-based KUICKWHEEL unveiled the world's first amphibious flying motorcycle, the Skyrider X1, which drew significant attention. The vehicle boasts a maximum flight speed of 100 km/h, a flight duration of up to 40 minutes, and a 50 kW onboard DC charging station to ensure worry-free journeys.
"The Skyrider X1 attracted over ten thousand spectators on its first day of exhibition," said Liu Feng, founder and CEO of KUICKWHEEL. Liu also shared that the company has been targeting the global market since its inception in 2014, participating in CES every year.
"We have transitioned from merely observing, learning and networking at CES at the beginning to launching new products and finding more partners. We deeply believe that a product can attract global attention here if it is truly innovative," Liu noted. He also said the key to innovation is talent and Nanjing certainly provides a rich pool of talent thanks to its many universities. Over the past 10 years, KUICKWHEEL has continuously expanded its R&D team.
Furthermore, MOVA, a smart home appliance brand established less than a year ago with a manufacturing base in Suzhou, showcased more than 20 products at CES 2025. Kevin Hu, head of the company’s R&D unit, said that MOVA has targeted developed countries in North America and Europe as key markets. In September 2024, MOVA successfully entered markets in Germany, France, and Italy. He stated that localization is crucial for companies going international and that it’s essential to conduct thorough research to fully understand the market entry conditions and consumer habits.
