Jiangsu’s enterprises are generating significant interest at the 15th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition, underway in Zhuhai City of Guangdong Province from November 12 to 17.

The prestigious event, also known as Airshow China, has drawn a record-breaking 1,022 exhibitors from 47 countries and regions. It features seven exhibition zones dedicated to various themes, such as the low-altitude economy, commercial aircraft industry, and civil aviation industry.

Airshow China showcases cutting-edge innovations across land, sea, air, space, electronic, and cyber domains. Among numerous high-tech technologies and advanced products, many are from Jiangsu, a coastal province known for its manufacturing strength, exports and innovation.

Orienspace, one of China's launch startups headquartered in Yantai City of Shandong Province, has been investing in Wuxi City of Jiangsu for about a year. The company is exhibiting a model of its YL-1 (Gravity-1) rocket, which had its maiden flight in January, along with its Yuanli-110 engine. Yu Jichao, general manager of the company’s market development center, said Jiangsu was chosen for a well-developed aerospace supply chain and a strong commitment to commercial spaceflight. It took Orienspace just a month from the initial meeting to decide to invest in Wuxi.

In the outdoor display area, Yangzhou Rongke System Technology is showcasing its electric, unmanned tracked combat vehicle, which can reach speeds of over 70 km/h and is equipped to carry rocket artillery. The company’s president Guo Cheng said the vehicle weighs about 1.3 tonnes and can accommodate various weapon systems.

Among Jiangsu’s exhibitors, Wuxi-based Hyatech specializes in the R&D, production and sales of aviation engine and gas turbine parts, supplying clients such as GE Aerospace and Aero Engine Corporation of China. The company is highlighting its core self-developed components, such as compressor blades made using precision forging technology. According to Zhu Hongda, General Manager of Hyatech, the company remains committed to high-end manufacturing, investing over 10% of its annual revenue in research and development.
