Jinling Customs has pioneered a new model to streamline imports by combining the China-Europe freight train service and the Nanjing Comprehensive Bonded Area.

Recently, a total of 60 containers, transported by the 11th freight train in the China-Kazakhstan production capacity co-operation initiative this year, arrived at the bonded area, a special Customs supervision area established by the Chinese government with reference to the free trade zones (parks) that are commonly used internationally.

Wang Jianjun, head of Nanjing International Freight Train Co Ltd, said this new model leverages the efficient operation of freight trains and various functions of the bonded area, including storage and logistics. "This effort has improved delivery efficiency by 80%, enhanced cash flow and also reducing costs," Wandg added.
