EHang signed an agreement with the Wuxi Municipal Bureau of Transportation, Liangxi District and Liangxi Sci-Tech City to build the industry hub and operation headquarters of the company on March 11, marking a milestone in the development of passenger-carrying electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) unmanned aerial vehicles in Jiangsu Province.

EHang, the world's first NASDAQ-listed company specializing in unmanned eVTOL aircraft, obtained the Standard Airworthiness Certificates issued by the Civil Aviation Administration of China for its EH216-S aircraft in October 2023, which is also the world's first of its kind.

Liangxi Sci-Tech City, located in the district, is emerging as an industrial hub of Big Data, artificial intelligence, commercial aerospace, application of BeiDou Navigation Satellite System and digital economy. EHang plans to establish an industrial base focused on the low-altitude economy, encompassing assembly, delivery, maintenance, service, R&D and testing.
