Jiangsu’s imports and exports with Vietnam reached 218.88 billion yuan in the first 11 months of this year, marking a 4.3% increase year-on-year, according to Nanjing Customs.

Vietnam is Jiangsu's top trading partner within ASEAN and its fourth largest investment destination in ASEAN.

Yang Fan, a tariff officer at Nanjing Customs, noted that 1,934 certificates of origin for exports to Vietnam, involving a total value of 969 million yuan, had been issued by December 12.

The growing economic and trade cooperation is also evident in the importing of Vietnamese goods and services. LG Electronics Nanjing Vehicle Components Co Ltd, for example, imported display modules worth 789,600 yuan from Vietnam on December 8.

“The procurement in Vietnam has been on the rise, with imports this year reaching 574 million yuan,” said Teng Fei, the company’s customs affairs manager.
