Nanjing Lukou International Airport launched an all-cargo flight connecting with New York City as Flight GG4864, loaded with 99 tonnes of goods, departed from the airport on July 11.

The new route effectively caters to the needs of local enterprises in Nanjing for time-sensitive exports transportation to the Americas. It also expands the air transport options from the Yangtze River Delta to the region.

The service is operated by B747-400 aircraft and is scheduled to have three flights per week. The exports primarily consist of cross-border e-commerce cargo, while the imports mainly include Boston lobster and other aquatic foods.
