Driverless minibuses have recently been introduced in Nanjing's Jianye High-tech Zone.

The free transport service operates from 9:00-16:00 on weekdays and has a capacity to carry up to six passengers per trip. With this addition, Nanjing now has three routes for driverless minibuses, including sightseeing in Jiangxinzhou and commuting service at the Nanjing Eco Hi-Tech Island industrial park.

The self-driving minibus in service is from WeRide, a leading company of Level 4 autonomous driving technology. This pure electric minibus has a maximum speed of 40 km per hour.
