A science exhibition on the protection of the Yangtze River opened at Chenguang 1865 Creative Industrial Park in Nanjing City on July 9, along with an ecological research project for teenagers.

The Yangtze River, stretching 6,300 kilometers from the snowy plateau to the eastern sea, is known as the mother river of the Chinese nation and an important birthplace of Chinese civilization. With more than 120 pictures and dozens of biological specimens, the exhibition highlights the river's magnificent landscape, the river basin's geographical features, ecological characteristics, diverse species and accomplishments in environmental protection and restoration.

The exhibition will be open until late August.
