Nantong's Tonghai Port launched a new container line to Incheon/Pyeongtaek in South Korea on May 30, marking the opening of the port's fourth route to Japan and South Korea.
Tonghai is the first port on the northern bank of the Yangtze River once vessels enter the 12.5-meter-deep channel. It also serves as a modern hub for containers and river-sea intermodal transportation in Nantong. Since its operation began in June 2018, the port has continuously achieved record-breaking container throughput, reaching 1.623 million TEUs in 2022.
Tonghai Port has opened 9 routes, including 4 international routes and 5 domestic routes.
