A cargo vessel successfully berthed at Lvsi Qibu Port at 9:00 a.m. on March 25 for loading before departure to Japan, marking the official opening of the first international container shipping route from the port, a new gateway from Nantong's Tongzhou Bay to the eastern ocean.

Local authorities cooperated closely to ensure the opening of the route, with emergency plans being prepared while considering the terminal's navigation conditions.
Qidong Customs also took the initiative to contact enterprises, streamlined the supervision process, and carried out simulation drills to better respond to potential operation challenges.
This trade route with Japan will provide a new logistics and transport solution at a lower cost for companies in central and northern areas of Jiangsu Province. Additionally, it will enable Lvsi Port to play a bigger role in the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.
