The Singapore-Nanjing Special Projects Cooperation Panel held its 10th meeting on May 16 in Nanjing.

Koh Poh Koon, Minister for Sustainability and the Environment of Singapore, and Chen Zhichang, Mayor of Nanjing, delivered speeches at the meeting. They also signed the fourth round of the Memorandum of Understanding of the cooperation panel and witnessed the signing of agreement for key projects.

Since its inaugural meeting in 2013, the cooperation panel aims to further strengthen the comprehensive partnership between Nanjing and Singapore and jointly promote the construction of important projects.

Over the past ten years, both sides have fostered targeted networking and practical cooperation by leveraging each other's strengths, resulting in fruitful outcomes.

In April this year, China and Singapore decided to elevate bilateral ties to an all-round high-quality future-oriented partnership. The two countries also announced the substantive conclusion of subsequent negotiations on an upgraded bilateral free trade agreement (FTA). These significant developments provide more opportunities for Nanjing to enter a new phase of close cooperation with Singapore.
