The Nanjing Chapter of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China hosted the Nanjing Municipal Government Dialogue 2023 on March 30.

The Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Development and Reform Commission, Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, among others, and more than 60 European companies attended the meeting, which focused on high-level opening up, green development, talent policy and business environment, among others.

Nanjing has become a preferred investment destination for European companies thanks to its advantages of national high-speed railway hub, large airport, major port, and platforms for opening up, such as pilot free trade zone, airport economic demonstration zone, national economic development zone, and comprehensive bonded area.

"The event aims to promote communication and exchanges in order to boost the development of foreign investment and contribute to Nanjing's prosperity," said Nanjing Chapter Chair Dr. Andreas Risch, also managing director of Fette Compacting (China) Co Ltd.

He added that most of the member companies have witnessed the achievements of foreign investment in Jiangsu Province, which demonstrates the resilience and vitality of the Chinese economy.
