Jiangsu is home to nearly 1,000 AI enterprises

The 5th Jiangsu Artificial Intelligence Conference opened in Binhu District, Wuxi City on August 27.

Zhao Jianguo, deputy director of the province’s Science and Technology Department, said the province is one of the earliest in China to make investment into the AI industry. As a result, Jiangsu is now home to nearly 1,000 AI-related enterprises, which generate the output value of over 100 billion yuan.

These companies specialize in software, robotics, sensors, manufacturing and other fields, and some are already market leaders with a strong innovation, great industry influence and core competitiveness.

The opening ceremony also saw the inauguration of the Joint Laboratory for International AI Cooperation of Jiangsu Province and a number of agreements for high-quality projects.
