The second Electric Vehicle Charging Facility Technology Innovation Conference opened in Changzhou on August 4.
The conference was hosted by the Electric Vehicle and Energy Storage branch of the China Electricity Council and the Technical Committee for Standardization of EV Charging Facilities in the Energy Industry, in cooperation with Start Charge, a Changzhou-based company focusing on EV charging technologies.
Under the theme of “green development, safety and high efficiency, and innovation-driven growth, ” the conference included forums, panel discussions and workshops to exchange views on development difficulties and trends in the EV charging industry.
China has made strides in establishing EV technical standards including 137 national standards and 91 industry standards, which cover general requirements, auto parts, infrastructure and charging connectors.
In the meeting, Xiang Fanghuai, a researcher with the State Administration for Market Regulation, called for efforts to take a holistic approach in development, integrate research and standard setting, adhere to rule of law, and participate in international scientific and technological cooperation.
