Changzhou City in Jiangsu Province exported 1,149 batches of lithium-ion batteries in the first five months of this year, up 37.8% year on year.
The strong growth came as Changzhou Customs took a series of measures to speed up the customs clearance procedure, such as a combination of online and on-site services and commodities inspection according to different categories. Such active efforts have helped exporters lower storage expenses and logistics costs.
In recognition of the efforts, Wang Zi, head of Jiangsu Contemporary Amperex Technology Limited, said product delivery capacity becomes an important factor valued in the international market as raw material prices continue to rise and maritime transport becomes unstable in COVID-19.
