Siemens announced on July 5 that it will upgrade its China headquarters for electrical products located in Suzhou New District to be the China and East Asia headquarters.
The upgrading effective from October 1 means the facility will cover businesses in South Korea and Japan too.
Siemens also singed a strategic agreement with the Administrative Committee of Suzhou New District to enhance its development in Suzhou. The company’s presence in Suzhou will cover a wide range of domains including business development, product management, digital innovation, R&D and manufacturing.
Siemens opened its China headquarters in the district in June 2021, the third such regional facility in the world. The headquarters integrates investment, management, operation and research and development.
With 4 plants and 4 R&D centers operating in China, the company provides smart electrical products and brings automation and intelligence to the infrastructure, new energy and other sectors.
