A celebration of the 10th anniversary of the friendly relationship between Jiangsu Province and Lucerne was held at the Oriental Metropolitan Museum in Nanjing on December 6.
Yang Jing, deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Office, said the Jiangsu-Lucerne relationship is always friendly, pragmatic, all-round and win-win with steady progress made along the journey. Jiangsu has a good foundation to achieve carbon neutrality and the two sides share the same goal and broad prospects of cooperation in clean energy, circular economy, green buildings and other fields.
Istvan Kocsis, deputy Consul General of Switzerland in Shanghai, said cooperation in trade, tourism, science and technology, education and culture has stood the test of time and the COVID-19 pandemic. This event will build an efficient and pragmatic exchange platform for enterprises and experts of the two sides.

The celebration was held along with a photo exhibition to show winners in the Alpine-wide architecture prize for sustainable construction and renovation.
In addition, Professor Zhao Chen of the School of Architecture and Urban Planning of Nanjing University, Nadia Benani, counsellor of the Embassy of Switzerland in China and Vincent Zhang, chief architect of Lemanarc SA shared their ideas for cooperation at the Sino-Swiss Sustainable Construction and Urban Renewal Round Table.
