Wu Zhenglong, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and Xu Kunlin, deputy secretary of the Committee and acting governor, met with a delegation led by Xu Zhijun, rotating chairman of Huawei in Nanjing on December 5.

The provincial leaders expressed gratitude to the tech giant for its important contributions to the economic and social development of Jiangsu over the years.

Wu said Huawei has made impressive achievements in the information and communications industry. He hoped that both sides can align their strengths more closely and deepen all-round cooperation to enhance the competitiveness of industrial supply chain, S&T innovation, low-carbon growth, digital economy, e-governance and smart city construction.

Xu Zhijun said Huawei has always regarded Jiangsu as important source of innovation. Huawei will continue to increase investment in Jiangsu and better help the province be a frontrunner in high-quality development.
