Jiangsu ranks first in China for establishing seven national IPR protection centres in cities including Changzhou and Nanjing as well as two national IPR aid centers for textile and glasses sectors as of July this year.

The centre in Changzhou has expanded the service to include rapid approval of patent application for the new energy industry. The centre in Suzhou now covers the field of intelligent manufacturing and electronic information. The aid centre in Nantong handles issues related to home textile products in the category of lace and ribbon.

From January to June this year, these centres received 2,569 invention patent applicants for rapid preliminary examination and later found 1,819 qualified. A total of 41 out of 58 design patent applicants passed the rapid preliminary examination in the period.
