The Nanjing Tech Week 2021 opened in the capital city of Jiangsu Province on June 21, attracting experts, top scientists and executives of leading enterprises and investment institutions from around the world.

Under the theme of “City Innovation in the New Development Paradigm”, the event is expected to pool ideas and resources for the accelerated transformation of Nanjing into a world-class hub of innovation.

Nanjing has made progress in building technical self-reliance as many companies have followed the call to step up innovation and boost quality and efficiency. The event unveiled a number of development initiatives and vehicles, such as the China Technology Innovation Centre for Third-generation Semiconductors (Nanjing) and urban satellite network system. The city has made it clear to strengthen innovation capacity and play a more prominent role in the future development.

As Russia is the guest country of honor this year, the event announced a joint initiative between the city government and Russian universities and institutes. This effort will promote the latest technology research and application to settle into Nanjing, enhancing the city’s role in the world’s technology breakthroughs.

The Nanjing Tech Week 2021 also includes programs online and on-site, such as the Plug and Play China Day and the Sino-French Innovation Development Conference.
