Jiangsu launched the provincial copyright awareness week on the morning of April 25 in Nanjing’s Jiangbei New Area, one day ahead of the World Book and Copyright Day.
In the event, the Jiangsu Copyright Administration announced outstanding copyrighted works selected for a supportive program of business development, launched a knowledge quiz on the newly revised Copyright Law, and also released a survey report on the contribution of the copyright industry to economy.
In recent years, copyright authorities at all levels in Jiangsu have promoted the innovation and development of the sector. The total number of copyrighted works since the 13th Five-Year Plan reached more than 1.6 million. The copyright industry has also played a growing role in boosting economic development.

The Jiangsu (Nanjing) Copyright Trade Fairs has been held twice with copyright transactions exceeding 500 million yuan. Jiangsu also has three cities selected in the list of China’s copyright development demonstration cities. The province took the national lead in copyright development achievement with 26 demonstration parks and enterprises.
The Jiangsu Copyright Administration has called for elaborate efforts at the regional level to promote the public understanding of copyright and awareness of copyright protection.
