The Jiangsu section of the Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway has reached a 5G coverage rate as high as 96 percent, surpassing any other trunk expressway in China.

A ceremony organized by Jiangsu branch of China Tower Corporation Limited and Jiangsu Expressway Company Limited was held to mark the milestone on June 28.

There are more than 500 5G base stations deployed along the 250-km Jiangsu section, providing an average download speed of more than 400Mbps.

Jiangsu Expressway will fully support and cooperate with China Tower’s Jiangsu branch to build more 5G base stations and develop a powerful 5G network. China Tower will contribute to a comprehensive transport system in the province, pioneer 5G application in expressway, and promote the transportation industry towards smart.
