The organizing committee for the BWF Sudirman Cup Finals 2023 was established in Suzhou City on May 5.

Sudirman Cup is an international mixed team badminton competition held biennially. The 2023 edition will take place at Suzhou Olympic Sports Center from May 14 to 21 and include more than 500 players from 16 countries and regions.

The Chinese Badminton Association, the Jiangsu Provincial Sports Bureau and the Suzhou Municipal Government will jointly host the event, which is expected to attract nearly 100,000 spectators.

Ticket sales have gone well with more than 40,000 tickets already being sold. The cheapest ticket is priced at 80 yuan, ensuring a larger audience to watch the competition onsite.

Suzhou has a proven track record of hosting international sports events, including the 2015 World Table Tennis Championships and the 2016 Thomas and Uber Cup.
