The Jiangsu zone features photos showcasing the beautiful environment and the harmony between the nature and humans across the coastal province. The photos cover many topics such as the Taihu Lake, red-crowned cranes, and milu deer, also known as Pere David's deer.

The center of attention includes a photo of Pan’an Lake wetland park in Xuzhou’s Jiawang District, transformed from sinkholes caused by coal mining. The district has completed ecological restoration at Dugong Lake, Jieyou Lake, Longyin Lake and other sites.

Gao Haixiao, a visitor from Beijing Foreign Studies University, said the ecological environment of Xuzhou has become better over the years and everyone feels proud of the achievement.

Another photo shows the picturesque scenery of Yuantouzhu, also called Turtle Head Island, at the northwest side of Taihu Lake after renovation. Jiangsu has made steady progress in fighting against pollution as the number of days with good air quality in a year has kept increasing and the mainstream of the Yangtze River also has a stable water quality.

At present, Jiangsu is home to 27 national pilot zones of ecological civilization, 9 national ecological garden cities and 8 national forest cities.

To help visitors better understand the province’s water town charms, the exhibition zone’s design has made use of architectural elements of Jiangnan gardens such as the white walls, blue gray tiles and moon gates. Here visitors can get a glimpse of the landmarks in the province’s 13 cities that have subordinate districts, such as the ancient canal in Wuxi and Xijin ferry in Zhenjiang.
