The Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Jiangsu Province has issued a circular with 12 measures to help minimize the impact of COVID-19 outbreak on businesses.
Jiangsu will continue the reduced premium rates of unemployment insurance and work-related injury insurance, allow struggling companies to defer the payment of pension, unemployment and work-related injury insurance premiums, exempt them from late payment penalty, and increase unemployment insurance premium refunding.
Jiangsu will also precisely implement subsidies for employment and entrepreneurship initiatives, improve the policy for guaranteed loans and subsidized loan, increase support for small and micro enterprises and individual businesses to relieve the pressure on them, and back the adding of public welfare posts at village and community levels for COVID-19 response.
Jiangsu will improve the policy to provide employment opportunities in the form of apprenticeships and encourage SMEs and enterprises in the service sector to offer such apprenticeships. Efforts will also be made to guarantee the basic livelihood of the unemployed, strengthen the monitoring of job market, and actively collaborate with the departments of industry and information, commerce and statistics to stay informed of job changes in enterprises in a timely and accurate manner.
