Nanjing will introduce a series of measures to improve traffic management, including the free parking on 42 roads during the evenings, according to a press conference on June 1.

Nanjing’s efforts are in line with 12 measures adopted by the Ministry of Public Security and also consider the city’s own conditions. The 42 roads can allow free nighttime parking of 2,500 cars.

The city’s traffic management department will coordinate with urban management authorities and sub-district offices to make parking easier. In addition, efforts are underway to find more specific parking solutions for areas close to hospitals, schools and public toilets.
