Organized by China Media Group and the Jiangsu Provincial Government, the 2021 China International Intelligent Communication Forum opened in Wuxi City on May 20.

Wu Zhenglong, deputy secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and Jiangsu governor, and Shen Haixiong, deputy director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and president and editor-in-chief of China Media Group attended the opening ceremony.

Wu said it’s important to adjust to the new situation and requirements of information technology development and make sure intelligent communication can boost development and improve people's livelihood. It’s also necessary to use the forum as an opportunity to facilitate the healthy development of the intelligent communication industry, build more cooperation and exchange platforms to reach the global audience, integrate the use of traditional and new communication channels to promote multilateralism and mutual understanding.

In his speech, Shen said that the era of intelligent communication will see media integration at deeper and wider levels, enormous quantity of information and more information sharing. Efforts should be made to stimulate technological innovation and jointly create opportunities for media transformation.

The event also included panel discussions on topics including the application of new technologies for media integration, development of cultural industry and cultural communication.
