Wuxi City hosted a roundtable forum on April 29 to deepen cooperation with multinational corporations and international chambers of commerce.
The forum included more than 150 representatives from 30 companies on the Fortune 500 list, 37 leading multinational enterprises and 10 international business associations.
Chen Hanjie, deputy director of Wuxi Science and Technology Bureau, introduced the development plan of the Taihu Bay S&T Innovation Belt.
Participants shared ideas and suggestions on a broad range of issues related to the initiative, such as the key targeted fields of biomedicine, integrated circuits and intelligent manufacturing.
Wuxi Mayor Du Xiaogang said that the city is willing to provide more strategic opportunities for foreign enterprises, improve the service to support their growth, and increase cooperation across the board. Du also said the city will respond actively and quickly to advices collected from the meeting.
