The China-Japan Friendship Park, a popular destination on the southwest corner of the Taihu Square in Wuxi City, will reopen by the end of January 2021 after completing renovation.
Progress has already been made in refurbishing the boulevard, improving the lighting system for the Chaihu Pagoda, and water treatment in the artificial pond.
The park was built in 1990 when Wuxi and Sagamihara in Japan celebrated the fifth anniversary of the sister-city relationship. Covering an area of 15,000 square meters, the park famous for cherry trees has been a favorite place for citizens in Wuxi.
