Data also showed prices for education, culture and entertainment products edged up by 0.6%. This was mainly due to the increased spending during the Spring Festival holiday.
Jiangsu has set its consumer inflation target at around 3 percent for the year of 2021, same with the country’s goal. This means a decline of 0.5 percentage points than the goal in last year. The prince’s relatively lower CPI in the first two months marked a good start to achieve the target.
