The 13th Jiangsu People's Congress concluded the 4th session in Nanjing on the afternoon of January 29 after completing all the contents on its agenda.
Lou Qinjian, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and director of the Standing Committee of the Jiangsu People's Congress, presided over the closing meeting and delivered a speech.
There should be 793 deputies to attend the plenary meeting and the actual number of participants was 740, in line with the quorum. Ma Qiulin was elected as deputy director of the Standing Committee, which also included elected members of Si Yong, Liu Qing, Chen Zhengbang, Zhou Yi, Zhao Jianyang, Qin Yibin, Yuan Gongmin and Cheng Xiaojian. Wang Changsong was elected as director of the Supervision Commission of Jiangsu Province.
The meeting adopted the resolution on the work report of the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, the 14th Five-Year Plan and the Long-Range Objectives Through the Year 2035, the implementation of the 2020 national economic and social development plan and the planning for the 2021 national economic and social development, the implementation of the budget plan in 2020 and the budget planning for 2021, as well as work reports of the Standing Committee, Higher People's Court and People's Procuratorate.
