Huai'an Lianshui Airport opened the second all-cargo air route to Zhengzhou, capital of Central China’s Henan Province on the afternoon of June 6, following the first freight route to Xi’an, capital of Northwest China’s Shaanxi Province.
The new all-cargo air route is operated by Central Airlines, with the aircraft’s maximum load of 15 tons. The aircraft will depart from Zhengzhou at 10:15, arrive at Huai'an at 11:25, depart from the city at 13:00 and return to Zhengzhou at 14:10. There will be six flights every week.
As coronavirus situation is easing in China, the airport has optimized the flights, stepped up actions to bring back flight capacity, and made goal-oriented efforts to boost the resumption of production in key cities and regions, important to the Belt and Road initiative and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
In April and May this year, the airport handled 1,848 tons of cargo, up 31.4 percent year on year.
