Nanjing Metro recorded a single-day ridership of 1.062 million on March 9, the highest since the COVID-19 outbreak affected the rapid transit system on January 24.
During the epidemic, Nanjing Metro posted a daily ridership about hundreds of thousands, with the lowest on February 9, 132,000.
Nanjing Metro’s train frequency is gradually returning to normal and starting to receive more and more passengers.
Meanwhile, Suzhou Metro reported a workday ridership of 350,000, about one third of the normal passenger volume before the Spring Festival.
