On February 26, Yangzhou hosted video signing ceremony with entrepreneurs from home and abroad for industrial projects, involving 33 contracts with a total investment of 62.5 billion yuan.
On February 29, the city declared all its 23 patients infected with novel coronavirus pneumonia had been discharged from hospitals, a milestone in the current period of epidemic prevention and control, as the city moves to promote economic development.
Xia Xinmin, secretary of the CPC Yangzhou Committee, said the city will not let loose the epidemic prevention and control and at the same time fully support the resumption of work and production.
Yangzhou will actively provide enterprises with comprehensive services in terms of financing, recruitment, materials supply, customs clearance, production safety, employee’s life. It will make sure the construction site, manufacturing companies, transportation network and city life can get back to normal.
Yangzhou has released 16 measures to support enterprises affected by the epidemic, such as offering subsidy of 10 percent of the new investment for technical upgrade, tax and fee cut and streamlined online approval.
Currently, 13 companies have ordered equipment to expand the production or shift to the production of medical protective materials, such as masks and medical suites.
Seeing the important role of companies in driving development, Yangzhou requires various departments to make every effort to ensure the smooth transportation network, increase the number of bus lines and resume road connections between counties and districts.
Meanwhile, the city has introduced much rigorous and detailed measures through the application of Big Data.
It has developed online platforms such as Dynamic Health Monitoring System for People in Yangzhou, assigning one QR code marked in one of three colors - Red, Yellow and Green - to each people to indicate the health status. Differentiated measures have also been introduced to manage workers who have returned to Yangzhou from epidemic-hit areas.
