Jiangsu’s total foreign trade in the first eight months of this year reached 3.82 trillion yuan, up 5.1% year-on-year, according to Nanjing Customs.

Private enterprises contributed 1.69 trillion yuan, up 3.6%, representing 44.3% of the province’s total foreign trade. State-owned enterprises recorded a 18.9% increase, while foreign-invested enterprises posted 4.1% growth.

Meanwhile, Jiangsu’s trade with countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative rose 10.3%, accounting for 49.9% of the province’s total.
