Taizhou releases guideline for time-honored morning tea

Taizhou City has introduced a guideline for the city’s long-preserved morning tea culture, Zaocha, according to a press conference by the city’s Bureau of Market Supervision on October 12.

Taizhou Zaocha typically features a cup of tea, dried bean-curd threads, fish soup noodle and three kinds of tasty dim sum offerings, namely steamed stuffed bun, steamed dumplings and Shumai.

Fang Peili, vice president of the Taizhou Culinary and Catering Industry Association, said top restaurants participated in the drafting of the standards, such as Huibinlou (Guest House of Taizhou), Qingfeng Tea House in Xinghua and Nanyuan Hotel in Jingjiang.
