Nanjing Library hosted a signing ceremony to establish the first library of Chinese books in Tajikistan on March 20.
As a national first-class library in China, Nanjing Library will donate 5,000 books, valued at approximately 350,000 yuan, to the Central Asian country. These books cover a wide range of fields including literature, history, philosophy, art, and science, catering to the diverse interests of readers and serving as a new window for the people of Tajikistan to understand China.
Chen Jun, director of Nanjing Library, said libraries always play a crucial role in preserving cultural heritage and facilitating exchange. He hoped this project can foster joint development between the two countries.
