On the afternoon of March 14, some students in Nanjing Jinling High School Hexi Campus had a special outdoor writing class under the flowering cherry trees on the campus.

"The writing topic is 'Under the Cherry Tree,' which aims to inspire students to discover, to feel and to express their ideas," the teacher Mi Mengyi said.

Su Ziyu, a first-year student in the school, said this class allows students to feel the beauty of the nature, making it easier to write than simply relying on imagination while sitting in classrooms.

Li Yanfei, another student, said she suddenly felt the urge to write a novel the moment she saw the cherry blossoms being blown down by the wind.

"We hope that ours students can obverse the nature carefully and write down their ideas," Mi Mengyi added.
