Jiangsu’s airports are expected to handle 54,000 flights and 6.497 million passenger trips during the Spring Festival travel rush period, up 20% and 29% year-on-year, respectively, according to the province’s Department of Transportation on January 30.
During the 40-day travel rush, Nanjing Lukou International Airport is anticipated to serve 3.3 million passenger trips, which represents a surge of over 70% compared to 2023, effectively returning to level in 2019.
In February, Changzhou Beniu International Airport will offer eight flights to Bangkok weekly and five flights to Nha Trang, Vietnam. Nantong Xingdong Airport will resume its passenger flights to Nha Trang starting February 2, and will operate 4-5 flights to Macao per week during the Spring Festival.
