The Xiangxuehai Scenic Area in Suzhou City added night tour to appreciate the plum blossoms on February 11, while Nanjing also kicked off its renowned festival in honor of the beautiful flowers, marking the start of the best time to view the flowers in Jiangsu Province this year.

"The plum blossoms in Suzhou's Huqiu scenic area draw about 8,000 visitors per day on the weekends," said Zheng Qiting, staff member at the area's management office.

Data from online travel platform ly.com showed that viewing tours at nighttime was becoming a new favourite among young people. The Fujiabian scenic spot in Nanjing has used light designs to enhance the visit experience at night. Visitors to Meihua Square at night can enjoy fireworks and folklore performances.

It's estimated that the number of visitors to the city's Class-A scenic spots and museums from January 1 to February 12 increased by 65.56% year-on-year. Tourist attractions including Zhongshan Scenic Area, Confucius Temple and Qinhuai Scenic Area, Niushoushan Cultural Tourism Area and Jiangsu Garden Expo have all launched spring travel products, which were promoted via e-commerce platforms, tourist centers, traditional and online media.
