Three members from the Nanjing branch of the Blue Sky Rescue Team, a Chinese civil relief squad, along with a rescue dog, returned to Nanjing on February 19 after completing rescue tasks in Turkey.
Members from Yancheng, Huai'an, Wuxi, and Suzhou cities have also returned.

Chinese rescuers raced against time to support relief efforts after the strong earthquake hit Turkey. Jiangsu immediately organized and sent its members to reach the quake-hit area on February 8. The rescuers tried their best to offer help while facing challenging conditions including aftershocks.
The Blue Sky Rescue Team from China rescued 8 survivors in the mission, including two by members from Jiangsu.
On the evening of February 11, in Turkey's Adıyaman province, Jiangsu rescuers successfully located and rescued a survivor who had been trapped for 130 hours. Then on the early morning of the next day, they rescued another 23-year-old Turkish woman.

The team also donated medicine, food and other supplies to those affected before departure and hoped to help the local people rebuild their homes.
