Construction of the main hall and ancillary buildings for the 12th Jiangsu Horticultural Expo have been recently completed in Lianyungang City.

The venue also finished planting trees and shrubs in its public spaces. The main works for exhibition zones of Jiangsu's 13 cities with subordinated districts were also concluded.

The expo will start the soft opening in early April and also launch a floral design contest and a horticultural development forum.

With a planned area of 235 hectares, the venue will include 20 exhibition zones, including 13 city-themed ones.

"The main exhibition hall will soon receive various equipment and furniture after completing decoration earlier this year. Among other developments, landscaping crops have covered total areas of nearly 40 hectares," project supervisor Li Haojun said.
